Advance Sandplay Therapy Course: Transference and Transformation

This week-long Advance Sandplay Therapy Course examines the Therapist as a resonating instrument, holding complex clinical issues in Sandplay’s ‘free and protected space’ when working with adults and working with children.

Issues relating to reconciliation of opposites, the manifestation of the ego-Self axis and the role of the transcendent function will be reviewed. The role of the Therapist’s presence and witness, physical body and ability to hold intra-psychic and inter-psychic paradox in the relational field will be reviewed. Concepts will translate into enhanced practical skill in managing transference and counter-transference in the therapeutic frame in service of the client’s unique and individual sandplay process.

Guided discussions will stimulate the integration and absorption of previous course material. Participants will have gained a deep appreciation of Sandplay Therapy’s 3D domain including

• Their calling to continue the soulwork of depth Sandplay Therapy
• The skill they have developed in its essential elements
• The process of healing and transformation which they are privileged to share
